The Necessity of Permission for Revealing Celebrities’ Secrets

There have always been heated arguments about how deep journalists can delve into the private aspects of celebrities’ lives. While the demand for such information is growing, I deem that print media should not publish anything personal unless they have permission in advance.

Every single person is entitled to have their own personal space irrespective of their fame. Divulging personal matters appears to be an obvious violation of this social right. Paparazzi, for instance, should not be allowed to approach famous people and disturb their peace. Otherwise, it would be regarded as a norm and affect the privacy of every other citizen accordingly.

Besides, the main duty of newspapers and magazines is to publish informative and topical articles rather than attracting potential readers with printing trivial matters for merely financial considerations. Not only could it be futile and a waste of time but also it could promote the adoption of celebrities’ lavish lifestyle and finally lead to shaping a superficial society.

Admittedly, the media needs to afford the ever-growing cost of printing by creating such contents to supplement their income. It could be also entertaining and even wanted by famous people since they can build up their fans; however, it should be only done with the clear permission of individuals.

In conclusion, although there might be some financial motivations behind revealing the personal lifestyle of influencers, it cannot be justified to spoil their lives for our benefits. Furthermore, this unpleasant experience can be undergone by ordinary people and divert the media from the right track.
